Well, personally I prefer the term sniveling. So much less wear on the knees, don't'cha know.

Mrs ExIntrepid likes the pedestal for the extra height when she wants to be Eye-to-Eye.

But she loves me anyway—she bought me these keen rollerskates at a yardsale for my birthday; they're great for keeping my knuckles from dragging the ground...

(She hates that annoying scraping sound, and it tracks mud in the house...)

Hey Exie, I have a pair of pretty good knee pads (red) I'll let you have for postage.
Since I haven't been able to play ball in twenty some years I used them for things like knee protection when laying hard wood floors so there's a bit of glue and paint spatter on them but they'll do well for protecting your knees whil groveling.
Sniveling is such a low brow thing to do.

Know what really irks me Marcie? When a man holds a door (and I still do) for a woman and they walk through without saying anything, like we were expected to do that. Now I lean over, huff and puff, and add a little limp to it and they hold the door for me!! It gets me to the check out counter before them and saves me some time....... so I can think up good jokes like Dave does.

Well I guess manners are a thing of the past. Down here I still say Yes Mam, Yes Sir and Thank you. I use Ms. or Mr in front of first names, southern thing. Here I am known as Ms. Marcie. Frank, I don't blame you a bit, I open doors for old folks too!

Hey Ms. Marcie,

Here in Louisiana, Ms. and Mr. are put in front of first names too. I'm known as Ms. Cindy even to the littlest tyke. I love the smile from an older persons or a Veterans at the VA when I hold the door open for them. I have utmost respect for those folks.

Later,
Cindy
