The October issue of the Legion Magazine has an excellent article on the
Millennium Cohort Study (MCS)
Margaret Davidson.
Cause and Effect:
The Millenium Cohort Study focuses on the long term health care consequences of deployment.
The American Legion Magazine October 2010 p33 Unfortunately, it is not available electronically from the Legion website. You need the paper copy. I thought the Legion article itself was balanced. This series of studies was initiated in response to reports of mysterious illnesses (Gulf War Syndrome, the new Agent Orange) attributed to vaccinations, depleted uranium and ….stress. I am concerned about where all this is going. Sure stress is involved in every illness out there. But especially when adaptive human behavior is involved, it is really hard to separate the cause from the effect. I haven't seen the published studies yet. They are on my list.
