PAPAW'S "A GOOD DESSERT"

I made this last week, and it is absolutely delicious,,, you may as well, after making this, just rub it all over your thighs and butt, cause that is where it is going to go,.. LOL
(WARNING: CHOCOLATE IS INVOLVED)

PAPAW'S "A GOOD DESSERT"

CRUST: 1 CUP OF SELF RISING FLOUR, 1 STICK MELTED BUTTER 1/2 CUP OF CHOPPED NUTS (you might want to double the flour and butter and nuts, if using a 9x13 pan,, I used a smaller size pan)

Mix well, and put into an oblong cake pan bake about 15 minutes, until brown @ 350 degrees, then let cool

mix 8 oz. cream cheese 1 cup of powdered sugar 1/2 carton of Cream Cheese

Mix cream cheese with powdered sugar, then fold in the carton of cool whip (dont use a mixer, LOL)
Put this mixture onto cooled crust

3 cups of milk and 2 pkgs of chocolate pudding (I use one large box of chocolate pudding) and if you like, shave some chocolate into the pudding,, lol
pour over the cream cheese mixture

top with the other 1/2 carton of Cool Whip, and sprinkle more nuts (I used pecans) over the cool whip

I put this in the refrigerator, for a surprise, with a nice supper I had prepared for Nana that night. ( Papaw's Fried chicken and Cathead biscuits, fried taters and onions, white gravy)

This is fairly cheap and easy to make,,, hope everyone gets a chance to try this.. it is absolutely wonderful.

lol, 5 months later, and I just noticed this was wrong, and i cant edit it.. LOL

its 1/2 carton of cool whip,, or, you can use a whole carton, doesnt make a lot of difference, that you will notice,, just make sure you have another carton to put on top of the chocolate pudding..

the only reason I even noticed,, was Im not home with my book.. lol,, Im in Sevierville, Tn, at the moment, for a 9 day vacation.. and I wanted to surprise Nana and make it for her.. so I had to think for a bit, then remembered I posted it here in the Ships Galley. greatest place in the world to look up my recipes while Im gone,, Ive got oldtimers and cant remember all of the recipes I make.. LOL

Frank, You and Ken behave,, and dont have Marcie in an uproar while I am gone..

have a wonderful week, everyone,, I am.. LOL

Fritzy I remember the meat pies and chips we use to get in Scotland, they were great !! Didn't care for the steak & kidney pies. The crust is what really impressed me, very crunchy and chrispy whith a real good taste. Also liked the fish an chips wraped in newspaper, long before Arthur Treacher's fish an chips came to America. Put up your recipe, please.

OK Fritzy, I will nibble.....but for some strange reason I think I am gonna regret this!!!!

Never had the opportunity to get down to your neck of the world, even though we were suppose to after we left Nam as part of our world cruise. We got detoured and were sent on a diplomatic mission and visited places that the United States Navy had never been to before. Sure wanted to go, heard that all the beer and Ladies were quite the ticket, but you could very well end up with something that you couldn't get rid of at no extra charge, sort of like Alongapoe. LOL
