G-day mate ,Beef dripping is solid beef fat,they used to use in deep fryers before they started using vegetable oil to cook fries.lnstead of dripping you can use pastry margerine or butter.To save all this just get some short crust pastry from the supermarket along with the puff pastry,use the short crust for the base and the puff for the top,hope it helps..........FRITZY

Right on there mate l think you call redders catchit [ Ye l know its spelt ketchup] .Another old navy way of serving a meat pie is with overcooked mushy peas on top,there was an old caravan outside Garden lsland dockyard in sydney called Harry De Weels that served pie and peas ,the old drunken sailors always had one on there way back on board,you always knew that you had consumed one in the morning,Oh the memories.
