Papaw's Pumpkin Crisp

Im not going to flood this room with recipes, but will add a couple I have to get you folks going with something hopefully that is new,.

this is called a Pumpkin Crisp. I got the recipe from a gal at the VFW, and mine just turned out different (and better) than hers. why, I dont know. But I made it, and it hass been a requested item at Papaw's house at holiday times (or special occasions for my kids) I prefer letting it cool some, before piling cool whip on top. It helps to "set up" the dessert

Papaw’s Pumpkin Crisp

Ingredients

1 15 oz can of pumpkin pie filling
1 12 oz can evaporated milk
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
4 tsp pumpkinpie spice
1/2 tsp salt

1 butter recipe cake mix
2 cups chopped pecans
1 cup melted butter
Procedure

mix first set of ingredients together and pour into greased 9X13 pan.. (i use butter Pam cooking spray)

take cake mix out of box,, crumble over entire mixture evenly
spread pecans over entire mixture
pour melted butter over entire mixture as evenly as possible (or spoon the butter over before the pecans, to make sure you cover all the cake mix)

bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes,, let cool for about 1 hr before serving
Good with cool whip on top too
