This section still under construction .... it will grow from user input and web refinement by adding reference material for both the veteran and the Veteran Service Officer. If you know of a site or Web reference that should be added to this, please contact navy@bluewaternavy.org We appreciate your input.
Anyone going for a C&P (or even getting ready to file a claim) should look at this "C&P Service Clinician's Guide" ... this is their bible. (This is the 2002 version. We expect certain changes have been made.) It is 266 pages long, a Word download. But it has every detail of what you will be examined for on any topic/illness... Make sure you keep the exam going on the right track. Don't assume the C&P Physician will do that without your prodding.

HOWEVER, some records are NOT at the National Archives. THIS LINK can help lead you to the correct places to find the information you need. The Records Location Table is useful for this.
The old paper SF-180 Form is still available for requesting Military Records.
IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY TO GET QUICK ACCESS
If there is an emergency or deadline associated with your request, please explain this in the "Comments" section of eVetRecs or in the "Purpose" section of the SF-180 so that we fully understand the situation and we will do our best to meet your priority.
