Hello to all!
Am new here, so not familar as to what is what, but i have a few health issues and wonder if they are possibly from my service in the navy.
What i have is, severe osteoporosis, ostroarthuritis, degenerative bone, and disc disease. exagerated curvature of the spine. kyfosis i think its called. they also seen sometnhing that made them want to check me for mutiple myoloma! this was in 04. since then i have finally recieved my social security disability. filed with the VA a couple years ago and , i guess i don't have anything that is related to service time.Did three tours to nam regardless. was in the tonkin gulf and tied up to the peir in danang acojple times and dropped anchor a couple times there too a few feet from the shore line.. was on the last tour dropping the anchor and shooting thousands of 5" 54 rounds 24/7 very cery close to shore. i understand from a sailor that was atationed in da nang that that area was the most heavily infested agent orange water there is or was.. i have no cancer yet, thank goodness. but all the other issues i understand may have been caused by the toxic atmosphere of the ships?, i was on. was in the navy from feb of 1966 - nov 1969 and like i said did three trips to nam. oh yeah also when the poeblo was was captured we went to korea for a few days to with a group of other ships. sorry bout the spelling and what not but you get the idea.. thanks
