Nothing to apologize for Max. It's all good and if someone has a vehicle that they want to donate, I'd guess the VVA would be as good as any of them who do this kind of thing.
The problem, as I see it, is these charities hire marketing firms and other people to handle this kind of thing and the amount of money the charity actually ends up with is, or can be, quite small, sometimes as little as 10%.
If you ever get phone calls from various charities soliciting donations ask the caller if he is an actual member of, or a volunteer for, that charity or if they work for another agency acting on behalf of the named charity. The next question is how much of the donation goes to the charity and if that answer is not readily available the dollar amount won't be much.
