i quess i'm passing this along because i'm a cynic when it comes to congress; we got 2 wars going on, trillions in governmant debt, high unemployment, pending a/o act of 2009, etc and house of reps is working on and having hearings on a bill to mandate how college teams are selected for the bowl championship series per newspaper (usa today dtd 12/10/09). a/o act can't seem to get moving even though it has "lots" of sponsors; but congress wastes time and resources worrying about college football games. i can definitely see that congress needs to get their ???? together.

There is something very wrong with this picture.Where is the out-cry against all that the congress,senate,and the president is doing.
There are 50 million people over 50 in the work-force today.
If the government would give each of them 1 million dollars each,with a few stipulations,our country would be great shape.
Stipulation #1: You have to retire.This would open up 50 million jobs.Unemployment problem solved.
#2:You have to buy a new car. 50 million new car orders.Auto industry problems solved.
#3: You must either buy a new house or pay off the one you have now.Money into the banks and the housing industry,problem solved.
Stipulation #4: If the government needs more money,then they should collect it from the tax dodgers in congress and the senate.
We would not be in debit for the next million years and our economy would still be healthy.

That should be sent to every congress critter there is. Of course since we are "retired" we would probably get the shaft.
