Letter Collaborations???

Postby daklander » Tue Mar 31, 2009 1:58 pm

I ran across a tool that we, as a group, may be able to use in fabricating correspondence to be sent to our Legislators and others. Have a look-see at Mixedink and let's discuss it's use.

Demo Here!

I took a look at it and don't really know how much visability it gets right now. I will spend more time on it soon.

It's not supposed to get internet visibility unless you want it. The idea is to easily allow others to collaborate and rework a document until the "best" comes to the top. That document is then sent to the Congress, or other officials as needed.
The document will show all the people involved in writing it and presumably would hold a bit more weight than a document from a single writer.
What makes it appealing to me is, is someone uses a part of someone else's document it is automatically credited to that person. So, if five of us were involved in writing a document that had some very good parts and a sixth person came in and wrote a more concise version, using parts of those five previous documents, and it was determined to be the final copy to send out, it would have all the credits in place as well as the names of those persons involved in the process. There may also be option to have others involved as signatories as well.
