Blue Water Navy

Carl and I just spent the afternoon with Edgar and family. We had a great time meeting another Boston Shipmate, Wesley. We talked strategy for VA claims, ships stories of the Boston, got to visit Edgar's famous garden and had just plain good times visiting with them all.

Edgar, Wesley, Carl and I would like to try to get a regional reunion planned for maybe next year. IF you would be interested in attending one in the FL area- probably near Orlando give me an email or pm. We'd like to try to meet more folk. I know it isn't easy to travel, but if we can come up with someplace that isn't too far for folks, we'd love to meet and have a good time sharing "sea stories" and fellowship.

Remember I'll be coming from Alabama and that is further than most of the Fl folks will have to come. IN FACT, it will be open to anyone who wants to come, fly in, walk in, drive in, swim in- doesn't matter. TIme to get together.

I wll come down if I can be assured that those USS Boston sailors don't have any paint!

Hate to tell you but those Boston guys were painting the house yesterday with ......PAINT.

They have a picture of the USS BOSTON and USS CANBERA side by side "sister ships" with the 2 painted out and a 1on your ship. I am going to try to get a copy of that............. Edgar and Carl swear it wasn't them, but I wouldn't trust them too much.

Come on down, when we get a time and place settled, and I'll corral all the paint that I find.

Marcella, we were saying some shipmates fell off the planet, today I got an email from a shipmate I had not heard from in 40 yrs.
