Why are so many peoples Avatar disappearing?

JR and I discussed it this afternoon. Apparently so of them will need to be reloaded. We are working on correcting some things on the board, and the avatars are just one of the problems. SO if you want an avatar - try to reload. We are also checking into why the signatures can't be changed. May take more than us to figure it all out.

One of the problems that I can immediately see, is i cant edit my profile, to re-insert the avatar.

I cant edit at all

So that is probably the same problem with signatures

Ok, I figured out how to get mine done= but I am a moderator. I may have to go in and reset all members to be able to use avatars, so give me some time. Will work on it. I wish we had a way to save avatars for use on here. We also need to find out why our smilies are disappearing and add some new ones. We are checking into getting someone with more know how to fix the board for us..........but it costs money, so we are shopping around.

OK, I reset some controls so see if you can post avatars. I see that the use of the smilies I added didn't seem to work, so will see what can do about that.........if only I were a geek!

unless Im missing something, Im still unable to edit my profile, which normally is where you would insert the avatars/ insert a signature,,

the box is checked for the signature, which is what I had before,, same as profile, its what I initially had inserted. at the right of where we type our messages (like this one) all the codes are on, except for flash, it is off,, which is okay with me, cause I aint gonna be flashing anyone,, LOL

whenever,, fine with me,, when its fixed I will redo my avatar

It's still the same.
Which version of phpBB are is this?
There's a user forum here. I'll look around for clues over there but it would help to know the version being used.

'K JR. That's what I use on my BB and you are missing the Profile, Board Preferences and Private Messages folders from the UCP. I'll see if I find out where they are supposed to be located in your fphpbb file system.

Check your settings in APC, Board Configurations

okay,, finally able to get profile fixes in, and reinserted my avatar..

thanks for working hard on this, along with all the other BWN problems we all have.. Im sure this was really a lower priority to fix, but it is still appreciated

Thanks for all the help with getting board back up and running. I was at my wits end and worried I was going to lose everything by hitting the wrong button.
