Almost every time I log in I expect to see "EXIE". I really miss him and his eloquent posts. RIP MY BROTHER. You will never be forgotten!!

I received a card from Rich's daughter in Seattle:
Thank you for being a support in this time of grief.
My father Richard Appling (ex-intrepid) was a fighter. He never felt sorry for himself or wasted any of his somewhat shorter life in regret. I believe it was full despite his illness and pain at the end.
"Live fast, die young, and leave a good looking corpse" - Richard Appling. We didn't like the sentiment, but I accept that was his life. We live him very much.
Thank you,
Christine Terryll
