My husband Alfred Ash joined your organization a couple of weeks ago....We always read your update Log and are interested in all the information your provide.

He is one of the Viet Nam "Era" Vets......he has diabeties Type II and today was told by his urologist that he now has prostate cancer....he will undergo surgery in November at UAB in Birmingham, Al. So I guess he is now one of the statitcs that we have read about...He turned 60 last week!! He said as we left the Dr's office "So this is the Golden Years!" I'm sure there are many more navy veterans are out there with the same diseases that never set their boots on the ground in Viet Nam! When will "they" admit that an entire generation of men are dying too young!

Remember him as he goes through surgery and after that possibly treatments if the cancer has spread....

Wife of a Viet nam "Era" Veteran!!!

Donna,
Please know that you and Alfred will be in my prayers as you go through these difficult times. There are several, including myself, that can relate first hand to what you will go through.
My prayer will be for a complete cure and for the Hand Of God to guide the hands of the Doctor. God Bless. Jim

Heavenly Father,

I come to you today and ask your healing hand be placed on those who are facing surgery, undergoing tests, or just plain laboring to survive the diseases that are racking their bodies. Be with each and everyone one of these, their loved ones and those that are ministering to their bodies. We know that you can heal and if it is in your will to do so, please accept our plea for healing. We also ask that you provide the courage, patience and faith to continue to fight the ravages of the diseases that are spreading through our group. Be with those brothers that have discovered this great organization and help those who are working hard even though they are in pain and sick. We thank you Father for the great things you do for us, the things you provide and the eternal promise of a home where pain and suffering will never exist.

I pray this in Christ Jesus,

AMEN

Prayer for Alfred

Donna I too am a Vietnam Era Veteran (USAF) no boots on the ground but stationed in the Pacific Cesspool none the less. Guam,Wake Island,Okinawa so I can understand your frustration.

I will certainly pray for ALFRED and for a complete and total healing from the top of both your heads to the bottom of your feet. Consider this a finished work because Jesus teaches us to believe it already a finished done work all we have to do is believe!

I have a request as well at 64 I am having urinary problems myself and I am scheduled for CT Scan on Nov 5th and a Cystoscophy of the bladder on Nov. 15th. I am flirting with being partly or fully catharized but of course I totally rebuke all this and will not have any part of that.

I believe you and ALFRED are healed in Jesus name and so am I; good fortune clear sailing to you both...David

Dear Donna and Alfred,

Exodus 15:26
He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."
Exodus 15:25-27 NIV

My prayers are that these words are encouragement and comfort for you both.
Like other posters, please know that we Stand with you and trust for Divine Intervention.

Yours in Faith,
Chaplain lewis
