In a Purdue University classroom, they were discussing the qualifications to be President of the United States. It was pretty simple; the candidate must be a natural born citizen of at least 35 years of age.

However, one girl in the class immediately started in on how unfair was the requirement to be a natural born citizen. In short, her opinion was that this requirement prevented many capable individuals from becoming president.

The class was taking it in and letting her rant, and not many jaws hit the floor when she wrapped up her argument by stating…

"What makes a natural born citizen any more qualified to lead this country than one born by C-section?"

Yep, these are the same kind of 18-year-olds that just voted in our last election!

They Walk Among Us.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is some wisdom in the requirements that person had to be 'landed' ( own property) to vote in national elections. This was a requirement set by the founding fathers. Some say the age requirement to vote should be 25 years; however, my 25 year old daughter has a hell of a lot better head on her shoulders than my 30 year old one has so age may not be much of a qualifier. I guess the age when they realize that there is no free lunch would be a good qualifier. Winston Churchill said it best: "Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has not heart; and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains." :P
