Meet our Chaplain

Postby johnr » Fri Mar 07, 2008 2:29 pm

I would like to introduce the Chaplain of the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Association. He is Reverend R.C. "Bob" Lewis. Reverend Lewis lives in Colorado Springs, CO and has served as the local Disabled American Veterans' and other veteran organizations' Chaplain and he is On Call as Needed at VA facilities in Colorado Springs and Denver.

During his Naval career, he served aboard the USS Braine (DD-630) from 1966 to 1970, with WESTPAC gun line and interdiction duty for two tours, 1966-67 and 1968.

Bob began his Preaching in 1977 and was ordained in 1981. As a combat veteran of Vietnam (he earned the Navy Combat Action Ribbon), Rev. Lewis is uniquely qualified to serve the needs of his fellow veterans, which is his primary focus of activity. His secondary area of expertise is in Mental Health Issues and counseling.

Please feel free to drop Rev. Lewis a note as the need arises. ([email protected])

Welcome Aboard, Padre.
