Finally, the ball may get rolling
OK, Senator Gillibrand got what we have all been waiting for. A date tentative of sometime in June to bring the Agent Orange bill for Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans up for discussion. It has only taken about 8 years of what should have never been changed...KUDOES to Sen. Gillibrand, and a great big thanks to Susie for keeping on her all this time, JR and John Wells from BWNVVA for your committed works.. Things might actually begin to happen.

The link to the hearing is here, but the feed dose not get started for about 13:54. Scroll your pointer to that time on the bar and start it from there. The hearing lasted about 1 hour and eighteen minutes.

RE: Finally, the ball may get rolling
Sen Gillibrand's statement starts around the 52-minute mark if anyone cares to hear just her. As Ken said, the bill will be presented for markup sometime in June. A markup is a meeting of the committee to debate and consider amendments to a measure under consideration. The markup determines whether the measure pending before a committee will be recommended to the full Senate, and whether it should be amended in any substantive way. I don't know if any previous versions of the Blue Water Navy Act have gone to the markup phase.
